Remote Device Access

Connect a legacy device to a legacy application across an IP network.
This example shows an Application running on a Remote NonStop system.
If WAN support is not available on the Remote system and Expand is not available (or appropriate) to connect the two systems, then ComNet could be used to connect the two systems.
The Application on the Remote system would open ComNet as if it was opening a legacy communications port. The Remote ComNet would then establish a TCP/IP session to the Local system's ComNet, which in turn would establish a session with the device on the Local system.
The Remote Application can now access the Local device.
